Press release 23.04.2025
Today marks a groundbreaking milestone for drone-supported emergency response in Sweden, made possible through close collaboration with Sjukvårdens larmcentral, Region Västra Götaland and Karolinska Institutet.
With the official launch of Everdrone’s LiveView™ application in Mölndal, we’ve deployed the first operational Drone Emergency Medical Services (DEMS) system that not only delivers life-saving medical kits for emergencies but now also provides real-time aerial video feeds to dramatically improve situational awareness for the critical first minutes of active incidents.
Why does this matter?
In critical situations, every second counts, and LiveView™ ensures those seconds are used with maximum impact. Once an emergency call is received, our drone is airborne within seconds, flying autonomously to the scene and transmitting a live video feed directly to the emergency response centre. Whether it’s a traffic accident, a building fire, or a rapidly evolving public safety threat, LiveView gives dispatchers and responders the critical context they need—faster than ever before.
“With LiveView™, we’re not just delivering medical equipment—we’re delivering clarity,” says Daniel Blecher, Head of customer operations at Everdrone. “Emergency responders can now make faster, more informed decisions while en route, improving outcomes where seconds count.”
Mahshid Johansson, HEMS coordinator at SVLC, adds: “Our hope is that this will contribute to an improved situational awareness, a clearer understanding of what we’re dealing with and hopefully helps us guide responders more effectively.”
This capability supports a wide spectrum of emergencies. First responders can now assess critical details like access to the scene, visible hazards, number of people involved, and the scale of damage, before the first unit even arrives on-site. In Mölndal, the LiveView™-equipped drone is now on standby in any weather, ready to support a broad range of emergency scenarios.
This deployment marks more than a local upgrade, it signals what’s ahead for emergency services everywhere: faster response, smarter coordination, and better outcomes, enabled by the unique combination of rapid medical delivery and live situational video from above. As we expand across Sweden and Europe, Everdrone is leading the shift toward a more agile and informed way to respond—where every second and every decision counts.
