“Appointing internally gives us a smooth transition and full continuity in our technology development. I look forward to working with Emil in his new role as the company moves into a commercial phase.”

Everdrone has appointed Emil Granberg as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Emil Granberg has been part of Everdrone since its founding in 2017 and has played a central role in the development of the company’s drone platform.

“Appointing internally gives us a smooth transition and full continuity in our technology development. I look forward to working with Emil in his new role as the company moves into a commercial phase,” says Mats Sällström, CEO of Everdrone.

Emil Granberg assumed the role of CTO in June 2026, succeeding Michael Öhman. Since joining Everdrone in 2017, Emil has been responsible for the development of the company’s drone technology. As CTO, Emil leads a technical team of seven and has overall responsibility for Everdrone’s technology development across hardware, software and testing.

“We have gone from early prototypes to a complete system that is being used in real-world emergency response operations. We have built a strong technology platform, and the next step is to continue developing it for greater capacity, shorter response times and more applications within emergency medical care and other public services,” says Emil Granberg, CTO of Everdrone.

“At the same time, we will continue to strengthen our control across the entire technology chain, from cloud infrastructure and software to drones and manufacturing.”

Emil Granberg succeeds Michael Öhman, who has served as CTO of Everdrone for four years and whose final day with the company is 28 August. The handover to Emil Granberg has taken place gradually since he assumed the role of CTO in June 2026.
