Our story
From the first live study to DEMS in daily operation
Everdrone started with a patient problem: most cardiac arrests happen at home, far from a defibrillator, and the first minutes decide the outcome.
In 2020, Everdrone's system was used in the first study of drones delivering AEDs to real suspected cardiac arrests. In 2021, a drone-delivered AED was used to defibrillate a patient before the ambulance arrived, contributing to his survival. Since then, Everdrone has moved from adapting an off-the-shelf aircraft to developing its own aircraft, DEMS bases and software. Today DEMS is in operation in Sweden and France.
